DUDE u don't mix Nitrous on a tired 305 mine calfed at 147,000kms and i wouldn't chance it on a set of CAST 305 pistons let alone CAST PISTONS of anykind. U detonate in the combustion and u say by by to ur motor. U'll fucking melt ur pistons. Personally i would drive it till it died do some Bolt on horsepower. If u want Nitrous rebuild that Engine with performance and Horsepower in mind and get ur self a set of FORGED PISTONS but apparently JE is the best Piston u'll be able to purchase for a 305 because SRP does'nt make a piston fora 305. My Pistons were $1100 but i got a smoking deal because my cousin is building my Motor so he basically gave them to me for cost.
My motor is coming back in a week or so and it is gunna be a touch under 5000$ and i pulled the engine and did all the dismantling my self they r building it and putting it back together.

nitrous is safe as long as you have the entire tune in check. on cast pistons i wouldnt recommend going more then a 125 max. as long as your ignition is good, motor is running fine. good fuel supply. and good plugs. you will be fine. pre setup kits like that are designed pretty safe from the manufacturer. just follow EVERY recommendation they say and it will be fine. if you have doubts about it, then dont use it.

I would only go with a small shot on a stock motor
I can tune it so you pull timing and add more fuel when nitrous is applied,
would make safer for a stock motor,
can also put it so you can flick a switch to go to Nitrous tune and flick it back to go to off nitrous

Cast piston WILL break between the ring grooves but if u pay 89vert money he will make it last with a custom TUNED CHIP

I was told that if i run faster than 14's with my CONVERTIBLE i need a 6pt. Otherwise they will throw me off the track on friday nights at Mission. My bro's 2500$ RICHMOND ENGINE built 305 ran 13.9. So........ prove me wrong it will save me 800$ if i don't have to put a fucking cage in i am just going by what i have been told.

That is correct, NHRA rules changed to 13.50 for a roll bar in a convertible. I believe Mission follows NHRA rules but I could be wrong otherwise it's 13.99 or faster. You don't need a full cage though. A 6 point roll bar would be suffecient enough.

Yah thats all i was doin was a 6 pt rollbar either order one online or get 11secrt to build me one well 2 cuz my cousin 350Vert and i r both buying the same NOS kit and then we'll of course get one pass at Mission with out the Rollbar then we won't be back til we get a Rollbar.

since always? a 5 point is just a side bar on the driver side and a 6 point is a side bar on both sides with a loop behind the front seats and bars going to the trunk.

5 Point doesn't have that passenger bar.

no I don't? lol* A cage has a bar that goes through the dash and actually encloses you in a "cage". The points are where they are mounted to the frame!!!! not how many bends are in them :noes:
example:
8 point bar:

never knew that.
i obviously know the number of points is the number of frame mounts but i thought the roll bar was just the main hoop which itself only has two mounting points.
