No its not the apokalypse but now that I have your attention....
On my way to work this morning, in the T/A, everythings going just hunky dorey- when all of a sudden...
Im about 3/4 of the way to work, goin up a hill, traffic slows for the light, I put 'er in first, and as I let out the clutch
* * * * * * * * * * THUNK!
My tranny dies. just like that. so suddenly. I lose all power to the wheels. Put it into any gear and the engine just idles. give it gas and I can hear the internals spinnin in the tranny but the wheels no move. So hurting.
Luckily I was in a spot where I could pull off and park it. Had to take the morning off work to get it towed home.
Just when I finally got the engine running good and proper my hurting transmish has to pop. Dammit.
So first thing I check when I get home is the tranny fluid. I was wondering if maybe my t5 had leaked it all out and burnt up inside. When I took the top plug out tho a little fluid ran down so thats not what happened. I guess it just couldnt take the 350... Also when I got home I tried the gears out again, I can feel it pull as I ease out the clutch in 3rd, 4th and 5th- but 1st 2nd and reverse are definetly gone.
So now after I just got my car all back together and running right I gotta rip into it again. Im probably gonna be getting the T5 rebuilt. I called all the auto wreckers on the Island and all they gots is V6 T5's.
