well here she is.
pretty, no?
so despite the fact that it's in the car, i still have lots of work to do...
1. adapt hvac controls (i have 6 fan settings, it has 7)
2. adapt light controls (get harness, splice wires)
3. adapt hatch release (get harness, splice wires)
4. tackle the guages issue (ugh, where to start)
5. properly mount deck (its just pinned in there)
6. buy dash pad
7. fill in the gaps at the top (small spaces are left cuzza the different shaped cars)
if you're questioning whether the work is worth the outcome, my answer to you is Yes.
I'll have more pics for everyone once all of the above issues are addressed and i modify the 2002 console shift bezel to fit.

the install was a pain in the ass.. but not as much as i thought it would be. no fabricating yet, but i am gonna need to come up with something to cover the side holes... fatal88 on TGO did it easy enough.. i figure it can't be too hard.
i dont think the deck has mp3 capability... i figure it'd say on it if it did...
thanks for the compliments :)

regular old gta seats.. i love em.
the wheel is a MOMO , called Jet Black. I picked up the horn button, its the wrong one.. but it'll do for now.I'll install it when i get my car back from mechanics..
This time around its the tranny fluid pump. Why does something bad always happen when I'm adding upgrades / improvements? its a curse, i swear.

hey hows it going man. Dash looks great. I have wanted to do that for a long time and have recenlty found a decently priced 4th gen dash. Seeing as you are way ahead of me i was wondering with electrical work was required for the transfer, are you going to need new door panels, do all the gauges/vents work? any tech info you can give me would be really appreached.
theSteve

nothing on the dash functions yet. im going to fab up a solution for the vents to work properly. they changed the number of settings on the hvac controls from 7 to 8, so the vacuum hose plug is not a direct pop-in. i am going to need new door panels, but they're hard to come by in black leather (vinyl) on ebay (which is where i'm looking).
sorry. no tech info for you now. ask again in a few months :p

wonder if u could put some Autometers in place of the old gauges? NOT mount them somewhere else.
theSteve
07-07-2004, 10:08 PM
i kinda like the guages that are in there.. i don't really need autometers.
if i get em, i'll just get the ones that fit in the vent holes.
