For me personally cost is an issue since I go to school full time.. so a nitious kit would be a temporary solution until I am done and can really spend my money on a more perminant solution.... Or maybe I'll just get a crotch rocket instead ;)

I don't think I'll ever put NOS on my car....

You guys are wasting your money on nitrous, go buy some stickers. My NOS sticker put me in the 11s and it only cost me $1.
Seriously tho why have one when you can have two, Boost and nos. Its lotsa fun.

Think I might be right behind you, a 75hp shot should clear out that bog I seem to be experiencing out of the hole.

u should've seen me and duane race on the hwy ... that would help u make up ur mind ;)
his turbo'd supra has dynoed higher than my nitrous fed V8 .. but guess who took the win ? the guy who didnt have to wait for his turbo to spool up ...
and yes we went from a hwy roll .. i was doin 4000 in 3rd when we hit it ...
blowers are worse than turbos in lag ... they only make real power after 5000 rpm .. and the blower maxes out at what .. 6000 ? so u gotta 1000 rpm worth of power ... thats just weak ...
nitrous baby .... the only way to get high

sideways has been in a blower car before. i think what he means is because a supercharger is belt driven you dont reach peak boost till high rpm, and then you have to shift and back down you go and you have to build boost again. with a turbo being exhaust driven, if you were able to load up a motor properly with a proper sized turbo you could build full boost at well under 3k rpm and carry that peak boost up till 6krpm, giving you more "area under the curve". superchargers make power its just that supercharger cars are more known to be "peaky"

centrifugal blowers make boost linearly with RPM till you max out their efficiency. This means that the TQ climbs with RPM, making them appear laggy and peaky. on a 10lb LS1 ATI D1 setup, you will get around 3-4lbs of boost at 3k rpm - kinda lame. Roots and Screw positive displacement blowers make max boost fairly early, but hit their peak efficiency sooner so they do not make as much peak power. However they hit peak TQ very quickly and hold it until their efficiency dies off (usually before a comparable centrifugal blower peaks).
a properly sized turbo will own a centrifugal blower in terms of boost and TQ curve.
