Took my car there cuz I thought the crown and pinion was out! Turned out I chipped 5 teeth off the crown and completly blew the posi to shit.

Now they're tellin me the reason it blew was because of the 4.10 gears I'm running.

Thus they're not gonna warranty the 4.10 gears (cuz they've had to many problems) and I was forced to get the stock ratio @ 3.42 back in there.

Oh yah it's gonna cost $1600 plus Tax

Well i won't be going there to get my Rear End done then. I heard Rear end specialties is good but since the old owner sold the new guys is a complete ass and i have been guided not to go there either.

7.5 10 bolts are weak, its not the 4.10s fault.

you can get a moser 12 bolt for like $2300, why even bother fixing the shitty 7.5" for that price, it is just going to break again.

I'd just get my car towed back from the shop, buy another rear end complete and be good to go again with hundreds left to spare.

Isnt a moser $2300 US plus shipping plus brokerage plus duty?

Regardless, $1600 is a ripoff. I had a Dana 35 fully rebuilt (new posi, spiders, ring gear and pinion) at Bert's driveline for $1000+ tax I believe about 2 years ago

Well despite the very expensive bill and the $1898.10 I had to lay on my credit card in order to still afford tires this weekend, I was 100% satisfied with their work and how quickly they had it done. Tow'd in there Monday after the shop was closed Tuesday afternoon they tell me the problem this is how much etc. and Wednesday afternoon on my lunch Break I picked up the car all in all a painless trip to the shop.
