i think we all remember what happened with France vs Brasil couple days ago... unbeatable.

Rossi who is one of Italy's greatest all time strikers, claims that Germany is the favorite in this game. However, Brazil was the favorite in the France vs Brazil match. And at the beginning of the tournament, the Czechs were favored to win and yet they didnt even make the round of 16.

I can tell you one thing, the Italians up to now have had a free ride to the semis. Their group turned out to be all terrible and they faced Australia in 16 and Ukraine in the quarters; those two being the easiest teams past the round of 16. This may or may not work to Italy's advantage when they face the toughest opponent of their 06 World Cup: Germany. Only time will tell because there have been many upsets before.

And as for Portugal, I like their team but beating the Netherlands 1-0 is no accomplishment and they couldn't even maintain decent possession against 10 English when Rooney was sent off. They do have Deco for the next game versus France but who knows if it will actually help since France has gotten on a roll here lately and Zidane is at the top of his game...probably the best player in the 06 tournament.

hey, no one thought they were going to make it passed england but they did all tho france knocked out brazil so it makes you kind of unsure, i still think they can do it tho

Yeah I do know a lot about soccer, and Ive watched every single game in this world cup; even the qualifying rounds with the terrible African teams, I watched all of them.

I have lots of friends that are just paying attention to the tournament now when there's only 4 games left, and theyre trying to tell me whats going to happen, but they havent even seen any of the other games. Its pretty funny, but I know that with this tournament, you can speculate all you want but it's so unpredictable that you can hardly guess the outcome of these games. Who would have guessed Ukraine would have made it to the quarters? Probably no one in the soccer world
