View Full Version : Long travel and spongeness
Could it be anything other than air in the system? I've bleed it 4 times already, with seemingly little improvement.
The spongeness is very slight, it's the long travel that's annoying the hell out of me; I don't get anything until about a 1/3 way down the pedel.
Thanks!

master cylinder is topped up rite? could be old brake lines flexing/stretching too much....replace em with OEM or get braided ones.
yeah the master cyclinder is topped up, though i should check again, I just realized my car was raised when i topped it up :P.
I put in new brake lines up front, but the rear ones are still the original, think that could be yet?
Thanks

what did you do to the brake system that you needed to blead them? if you get air in your master cyclinder it can be hard to get out and requires bench bleading.
One of the rear pistons broke when i was trying to the bleed the first time (can't remember why now). So the mastercyclinder got drained...
What's bench bleeding?
