Tranny question

Sorry its not a question about anf f-body, but my beater cars tranny went on it and i was wondering what peoles in puts were on it.

I have a 1982 Buick Skylark ;) And when i went to start driving off a green light, my tranny just stopped workin out of the blue when it was about to shift gears, the mechanics say i need a new tranny, but they didnt even look inside $$$. Do you think it could be just something slipped out of place?

No gears work, well neutral does, and my tranny wines when its idoling. I wish it was just a simple presisure cause the rest of the car is in quite good shape, motor and body wise. Thanks Vikki ;D

talk to blackwell transmissions they do very cheap work,
but.............. you get what you pay for, but who cares
its only your winter beater. BT is at the end of scott road
a couple of blocks up from the skytrain park and ride

shes from the little island we call 250 :P go to GEARS or bull frog in victoria..try not to swing by vic automatic tranny with the beater as they tend to...."supe anything up" which means more money for them... anyways they are great and all but not if its just for abeater
