starter solinoid problem, common, does it sound like the starter
is spinning but not meshed with the ring gear?

i dont know what you just described

the starter seems to be trying to start...but it just shooting out air i think..so im gonna guess its the fuel pump...

the mechanic guy said its either the fuel pump or the timing belt =/ and my cars only got 74k on it...i doubt its the timing...if he says it is im taking it to someone else

tell him not to be an idiot, its a timing chain go work on some rice ;D

from what you "described" was the car a clean turn off or did it feel more like a stall from lack of rpms? and if the starter just makes a whinning high speed spinning sound, then its just the starter solenoid not engaging the gear into the flywheel :)

i think it was from low rpms....juss shifted from second to neutral and everythin turned off.

If he says it the timing belt you badly need a new mechanic.

wisper: there is no timing belt!
