Just curious,
Would there be any improvment what so ever, with upgrading the headers on a 305, cuz at this point i think it woudl be a waste of time, and i'd rather drop in a 283 or 400 at a later date.

headers always make a difference, id expect a 15hp increase over crappy manifolds. dyno proven of course ;D

indeed a good idea 8)
long story short, i had a 305 with open header stock on the dyno had 340,000kms thing layed out 229 hp to the flywheel stock, came out of a 79 cutlass. open headers added about 40hp over dead stock. headers make a difference, even through an exhaust system. suprised the hell outta me lol ;D
