Personally, I'd rather own a 99GT then an older Camaro. That is why I bought my car. I think it looks great and even meaner on the back of a tow truck ;D.

damm rights IROC-Z nothing wrong with them, why do ppl knock em??? what powerd the origonal Z28's??? umm yeah a 302 it made 400 hp, so whay cant a 305 make that much plus and still rape other engines, i read a article and a guy had a 305 TBI such as mine running 13's N/A, id love to find the recipe for that..next year ill be making quick pases down the quarter with my 305 and ill suprize all of yall!

Okay, seriously speaking now, Im being a bit of an ass. It's just that 305 TBI's are the worst Chevy V8 that I can think of. Ever. It's sad but they're junk. Im gonna look up the stock horsepower rating on one of those. It's something like 185. My sister's automatic 00 V6 could EASILY beat a 305 TBI Camaro

One last thing about the TBI 305s. I was looking through vifbody's posts and found the dyno thread, looks like with all your mods you layed down a whopping 159 hp, and pulled of a lightning quick time of 15.6XX.

first off the car is making 159 with a fuct fuel filter, but it is making the same power as the 350 tbi truck engine, second off its not highly modded, cam some head work this that, and yeah the tbi isnt the best combo, but till u ride in my car keep ya mouth shut man its a damm suprizing car for what it is.

and nots its not the lowest hp engine chevy made the late 70s early 80's were dogs.

haha! Im not dissing your car. Im dissing the fact that you think its fast :). Your car could be very nice. All you have to do is drop in a 350. It's pretty simple. Right now your car is ass slow. Just admit it. You're not fooling anyone. Sitting in it isnt going to make a high 15 second car seem fast to anyone...

PS. I'll bet you money that you won't beat my mom's or my sister's cars and they couldn't care less about performance not to mention their both bone stock and automatic :)
