There is nothing special about those heads because they are the same head on every 305 TPI car from 87-92 Casting number should be 081, they are the best factory head for 305's. same as the 416's on the earlier blocks.
416 = HO 305 head for 86 and earlier blocks
081 = HO 305 head for 86+
Both heads have 1.84 intake valve and 1.50 exhaust and 58cc chambers
So to answer your question you would need center bolt valve covers and you need an intake manifold for 87+ heads. I don't think there is anything else special required. The one benefit to the heads, if it is true was that gm made sure the engine was balanced with the best factory parts, that was the short block anyways not sure if they made sure all the rockers or something in the heads where all matched closely, but they would be the best factory heads avail with factory bits.

thanx for the info, i got an 86 4bbl, and investing in an edelbrock rpm performer, u think the heads would give any horsepower gains...

I don't know if them coming off a players car is going to make them better or not, but I wouldn't be suprised if your 86 if it is a 1 piece or newer style block if you have just purchased the identical heads you already have, if it is the older style then you have the same heads but in the old bolt pattern as.
081=416 castings anyways.
I don't think you'll see any gain by adding them, but it is a good excuse to get them ported up and cut for bigger valves if your plans are for building up the 305.
