i have a 4spd auto from a 83 v6 car. would it be a 700r4 ???, do they also bolt up to the v8's the bellhousing seems close but i dunno yet? its the square pan so i guess its not a 2004r

wouldnt hold up to the torque well either way

thats the funniest thing ive heard :P yea they do but it depends on what motor and tranny. ill find out all the exact details today. cuz at work we have the hollander interchange and ill let you know exactly whats going on :) ill post later today

I ment the camaro v6 tranny and a v8, ive looked at a bunch they dont work.

I think it was in Car Craft where they bolted a 200r4 into a LT1 powered 4th gen, they said it was a good tranny, it is alot lighter than a 700r4, and there were lots of performace parts for them
all Grand Nationals came with 200r4's so they can't be that bad of a tranny :-\

4.3l v6 tranny will bolt to a small block

4.3 V6=350 with 2 cylinders lobbed off.

The clutch packs and splined shafts are different on the V6 TH700-R4's also if im not mistaken.
