what kind of bolt ons? and how is it shot? the ECU you need to use is the stock one. then get a tune.

The bolt ons are like cold air intake, ram air hood...you know tiny things. nothing huge to increase horsepower. The ECU needs to be replaced....i have had the car into the shop and they said that what my problem is. I was thinking of going with those after market fuel management systems....which one is good for our cars?

well you cant just go and put in a stand alone fuel management system, you have to completly integrate it into the car, its alot of custom work. for the mods you have you dont need anything done, you can run the stock program easy. like i say, you run the stock ECM and then if you really want a tune, you can get a programmer or get someone to properly laptop tune the car to your specifics. but thats really unnececary for a filter.

i totally understand but what i am trying to tell you is that my ECM or ECU needs to be replaced because its done. The car is haywire and my mechanic along with some others says i need a new ECU...so do i find another stock one?

yes, just get another LS1 ECU, man and auto are diff. so make sure you get the right one. try ebay or local. might be able to find one. ive never heard of an ECU just going though, hope thats what it actually is.

hey so i looked up your info and apparently you've got to send yours away to be rebuilt, if you go thru lordco, we send them to niehoff-takes bout 2-3 weeks, and it looks to be about $100
acdelco lists one which also requires reprogramming at $270-with a $130 core
