I want to put on new disc brakes and a better rear axle on my 91 Z28 camaro, but I also want to improve the suspension, so should I do the air rides first or the rear axle with tubbing? (which requires less extra work or just makes more sense?)
Thanks for the input!!

tubbing is alot of work, what size rims/tires do you want to run?

i agree... ive never seen a fully tubbed 3rd gen, but ive seen lots of guys do a "mini tub" to gain a lil clearance for rubbing issues etc, but most deal with the size of the fenderwell and stuff as much tire as they can without severe modification

you can really tub out a thirdgen. the frame rail are right next to the wheel well. you can only square off the are near where the endlinks bolt to the body to prevent rubbing on tall tires (28")

no. you just cut it all out and make new support for rear of body and put in custom rear suspension witch i am sure you are doing any way if you need tubing. its big job but every thing is possible

I'm looking to get like 305's in the back. Can I mini Tubb that? or is it still too big? I got as big as 275's on my 89 RS but they rubbed. Is mini tubbing even worth it? Too many questions I know. haha. But I want to do it right the first time.
thanks for the replies!

you can get 305's in the back, its all in the rim and offset though. minor mods, you can do it in a stock well
