I need to do the brakes on my 1991 Z28 1LE. What pads do you guys reccomend? Is there a noticable difference with cross drilled or slotted rotors? Im really just not impressed with the cars braking and I want more stopping power. Thanks for your info. ;)

those high performance pads and cross drilled rotors are a waste of time

Definitely stay away from cross-drilled rotors. Slotted are OK but dont really do much.
Race pads will offer a definite improvement at higher brake temps. When cold and warm they will do jack shit and dust like mofos, but when the brakes are cooking the race pads are what will save you from fading and going into the wall.
If you want a set of race pads only for the track, get a set of blank rotors to use with the pads, season the race pads to them, and take them off and save em for track days.

So what's the down side of cross-drilled rotors?
Has anybody tried ceramic (street) pads?

4 wheel discs stop way better
i'd wait till you blow your rear then put a disk 1 in
its kind of a hassel to convert
