Do you have a 6 speed?
I've read with 6 speed cars to go to 4.10's, I think I read it in Super Chevy
don't remember why they said 4.10's but they said forget the 3.73's

so 4.10s, that ok for a daily driver, and what brand etc?

and can you guys recommend some good cams for a daily driver, need to be able to pass air care with it one way or the other,

headers too...

the gear ratio in ls1 tranny's must be different then lt1's cause i'm doin 120-130kph at 1500 with 3.23's

What size tires do you have? I'll figure out your overdrive ratio is

hmmm, actually i probably am doing a bit higher than 100k, can't really picture the speedo in my head right now

i have 275 40 ZR17s

you might have a .62 overdrive if you do you'd be at 2000rpm at 60 mph with 4.10's

so basically the point of 4.10 gears over 3.42s is too allow me to rev higher in a specific gear? i dont really know how gears work, never dealt with them before...

off the net:
1st Gear Ratio 2.66:1
2nd Gear Ratio 1.78:1
3rd Gear Ratio 1.30:1
4th Gear Ratio 1.00:1
5th Gear Ratio 0.74.1
6th Gear Ratio 0.50:1
Final Drive Ratio 3.42:1

look at it like this, if you had a 4.10, you would have faster acceleration then a 3.73 but lower top speed. Thats very basic terms.

actually that makes sense...oh well, screw top speed, once i hit 180 i usually come to my senses and slow down anyways...usually ;D

ok, so next topic, FIPK, worth it or not...remember already got a ram air...

also, what headers (no long tubes alllowed)
what cam,

need 60hp, how do i get it!?!?

That looks like a sweet manifold!

I've heard of cars actually running slower times with the taller rear's....whats up with that? It seems like you would want the rear to be big enough to push you to the end of your power band when you hit the end of the quarter. Do the cars have troubles with traction if you have 4.10's? Is that what makes them slower?

Hi Mr T........I know this is an old post but I'm new here. From what I've read and observered there's very little power to be gained with mid-length headers seems it's either LT's or nothing.Guys seem to be getting good results with cams though.
Good Luck
