having a lowered car we've always got the problem of too much negative camber. I've given up trying to find a way to add positive camber to correct my steering geometery and I'm tired of eating up front tries so I broke down and bought a pair of bell tech drop spindles...
however I just found this and I think it might be the ticket for me since I do not want to lower my car even further with drop spindles;

I picked up a pair for my car and I'm going to get them installed and have an alignment done next thursday.. what do you guys think?? This is the first time I've seen something like this and I think it will work. If it does work and correct my steering geometry, bye bye drop spindles.

my car aligned fine but i only have a pro kit. but there is room for more adj if i go lower. or you could slot the alignment holes more couldn't you

with sportlines my car is adjusted to max and my camber is still just over or just under a full degree out (can't recall exactly, its been a while since I've been on an alignment machine). I had to replace front tires at like 8,000kms the first time because they were too worn on the inside. This spring I put on brand new tires and under 100kms later I hit a deer and did minor front end damage, however I left a 100' skid mark which toasted my 'new' front tires.. grr. So I'm on a third set of new front tires in under 10,000kms.
this is why I searched and searched and searched and finally found and paid dearly for used bell tech drop spindles..however it would lower my car further and its fucking low enough as it is.
anyway these camber bolts cost me $26 bucks plus tax today at Lordco, so it can't hurt to try..

Got these installed today and it corrected my alignment issues (camber specifically). Good-bye bell tech drop spindles.
Inspecting the bolts today before installation, they are mark (cast?) with a grade 10 rating for strength and are just a hair smaller then the stock bolts with the oblong cam shape in the shaft. They also come with these odd looking rectangle 'lock washers' to ensure they bite into the strut and retain their position after installation. I have no concerns with their strength or the stress they will be under.
Good product, I give it a thumbs up!

ya I found them and I paid a pretty penny for'em. I have no use for them now, my next project is going to get prokit springs and long tube headers.

any chance you know the part number from lordco? i'm doing my suspension this month, and wouldnt mind picking these up so i dont wear out my tires pre-maturely.
Hm...
Ok I hope i'm not completely off on this, but according to wikipedia and also people I've talked to in Kaltire, BC shocks and struts, etc, a negative camber only has minimal effects on tire wear; it's actually only the toe angle that will seriously reduce the life of a tire.
quote from wiki "The common misconception is that Camber angle causes an increased rate of tire wear, when in fact camber's contribution to tire wear is usually only visible over the entire life of the tire."
So maybe you had some toe out on the front?
not that wiki is always correct, but this is the impression I got from most ppl in the tire business.

I dont know the specifics of it exactly, but at the shop I work at the tire guy said to definitely get these. Cant hurt and will make sure that the alignment is bang on.
I got a set from Lordco delivered this afternoon. Part Number 81280 (LC 577) $28 with taxes.
yeah only 28 bucks, can't hurt
though -1 degree of camber probably will help your handling a bit

they are quality too. I didnt know what to expect for $28, but they are really well machined.

thats just not right, sorry to hear that dude. when did that happen? We've got a solid Snap-On laser alignment tool and its been bang on since i've been here.
On a side note, after some discussion around the shop I was told these bolts wont help from wearing tires out, but will help with stability and should help the car corner and track the road better.
some bigger/wider wheels and tires would probably help too

what they are for is when you lower the car a lot you run out of camber ajustment so you use these to get more
hey man, could you post up a couple links to pics of your car?
I think the RS I just got is the same color as yours. (is yours "Dark red metalic"?)

I really like the stance on your car
I'm even considering getting a set of 1'' spacer/adapters so my stock wheels won't look so sunk-in
you planning to get 4th gen seats?
