uh oh... rubber broke

hmm did an oil change on the car today and when i pulled off my shiny chrome oil filler cap i notice it was really loose so i flipped it around and found about half of the rubber peice is missing like it ripped off so i am assuming its inside somewhere... does this mean i have to take the valve covers off and look for it or maybe tis too late or should i worry about it?

My car did the same thing today but i watch the peice fall in there, shouldn't be a problem but dont leave it in there too long. I got this hyundai running in my mechanics class and it ran perfect, and i popped off the valve cover just cause and there was 2 pens in there, they were mangled but didnt really do much bad. lol ::)
