This mostly applies to New Drivers, but can apply to classes above as well...
If you get a 12/24H suspension that leads to prohibition/probation, as well as a driving infraction (speeding ticket, ect) your infraction may be put against the prohibition/probation AFTER the fact, and not at the same time.
What this means is, if you were to be put on probation due to the suspension, you can now be prohibited based on the speeding ticket you received AT THE SAME TIME AS THE SUSPENSION. Apparently, suspensions are put into the 'record' immediately, while infractions are put in at the officers will. I found this out after I was told about a speeding ticket I got 2 days after my 12H that I didn't actually get.
Therefor, if you have your N, and you get pulled for a 12H/24H as well as a speeding ticket, get ready to write TWO letters for the same event, even if your record is completely clean before hand. The initial suspension will put you on probation (at the very least), and the second (as it comes in at a bit later date/time) will count against that probation. It doesn't matter if you were doing 5 over or 50 over. If you decide not to write the letters, you may be serving TWO prohibitions for the single event.
