only things I dont like about an 87 but I still love them
1. The badges say Z28 and not IROC
2. The IROC badge is on the front of the door (nearest to fender) as apposed to the back of the door where they were located in 88
3. Non-serpentine belts.

Yes, I like the single stripe better than the double. My current Camaro doesn't have serpentine either, no problem there. I also like the badging.

I drive by one on my way to work all the time. Unfortunately, its either an 1988 or 1989, and has the "flatter" IROC wheels (you IROC experts out there know what I mean). But, its blue, cloth interior, t-tops, seems in really good shape with the original decals and stripes. The owner lives on 72nd Ave just by Scottsdale Mall. Car is usually parked at the curb on 72, or in the driveway. If you are driving by, make an offer.

If you are talking about the "flatter" wheels, I think that is 90-92. I think 88, 89 had the 5 spokes sloped into the center but with double stripes. Anyways, thanks for the info. I'll try and check it out if I'm in the area.

Sounds good. I don't have time to go driving all over the place so I just like to keep my eye on the buy and sell.

I looked for mine for 2 years before I finally bought it. Exactly what your looking for, mine when I bought it was 87 Iroc, blue, 305tpi, 5spd, power locks, windows, seat, no A/C, t-tops, 82,000kms totaly stock and mint, origianl owner. I got offered 12g for it two summers ago and said no.

I prefer the z28 badges, and thing the IROC looks better at the front of the door. Also EVERY iroc in 87 had 4 wheel discs and 16" wheels. Every 5spd Iroc came with 3.45 gears and every 350 came with 3.23's. The interior is WAY nicer than the newer 88+ style. The rear hatch plastic panels are carpeted. This one's just a stipulation but every 87 Iroc I know of is unusually fast? mine 14.5 bone stock and 13.9 with exhaust and 1.6 rockers. Byron's 350TPI, 13.7 with just exhaust. I believe you had a red 87 that was really fast too?

I rest my case

Mine was the first I looked at, bone stock, origanal owner, 102,000 km, just needed paint,
I got offered 16,000 for mine just after I got it painted, I should have took it, but I'll never sell her

I'll offer you 10g. Because it's missing the stock rims ;D. I do like the rims you have but I'd have to keep the stock rims.

I've found quite a few cars that are almost exactly what I'm looking for. But none of them are blue.

Ok so it's not a 305/5speed but it's the next best thing

Since it's a 5.7 and I'm assuming more or less stock, it's an automatic, correct?

That's bad... real bad. I'm so tempted. That is the ultimate combo. 350tpi + T56 = best third gen
