Hey,
I've got a ProStick in my car and I still have to wire in the Neutral Safety and reverse lights.
1. Purple and Yellow - neutral safety
2. Blue and L.Green - reverse lights
3. What's the Black w/white and Orange w/black for, +ve and ground? I know it goes to the ECM and applies in neutral and park but what does it do? Do I have to relay them after the neutral safety switch or do I loop the Purple and Yellow and run the Orange and Black to the shifter switch? I can only run one switch on the shifter, I'm sure much like wiring the MegaShifter but can't find much info.
Thanks
Dunout

i dunno i looked at it and figured it out, and that was a megashifter. there is a switch for neutral and a switch for reverse. why do you only want to use one?

No I know there's two switches and I will use both, one for the reverse lights and the other for the neutral safety. But what about the two extra wires that won't have a home on the switches, the black and the orange... I've researched the net for wiring schematics and they show the wires loop to the ECM but I can't find what they actually do (what signal other than 'the car is in park or neutral' does it send to the ECM, and what does the ECM read from this information. Will it change timing or mixture or maybe not know when to shift because it thinks it's in a still gear, neutral or park) If they're left alone/un-plugged it will not send a signal to the ECM throwing a code I'm sure, and if they are looped constantly it'll tell the ECM that it's in park or neutral when actually driving. Won't that confuse the ECM?
This is why I thought of the relay route and I saw you (jessev) write something in a thread about the relay to the Megashifter (It'll be exactly the same for the ProStick). Now I didn't find a conclusion to that, What did you do and did it work?
Like I said (I think I did) I'm just using the factory gear position sensor right now hooked up to the harness to bypass the neutral safety with the ProStick in the car to change gears, but before I start it in gear or fry the comp I'd like to do it properly. I know it's not the smartest thing but we had the motor and tranny out so it was that much easier to do the shifter at the time.
Thanks

well i got rid of the car a long time ago (to dunout) and the shifter went to another guy on here with a TA and thats sold now too.
but you're lucky i took pictures! as you can see, i just twisted em together and taped it up, never had a problem. i don't recall what they do.
damn my wiring/taping was messy back then lol
