If you put a turbo onto an engine, how does the intake work? Do you pour the compressed air in after the throttle body, or what? I can't wrap my mind around it. I may be dumb, but can someone explain to me how the plumbing works?

carb or efi?? both the same, the turbo goes in after the exhaust manifold, the exhaust gasses spin the impellers and it sucks in compressed air which is routed to the intake, before the carb/tb.

so the turbo has a intake piping of its own sort to speak. kinda like a centrifugal supercharger, except with a supercharger a belt spins the impeller. with the turbo, exhaust gasses spin the impeller.
