I tried to get this at Lordco but they wanted to know what type of tranny I have which is odd because all 1991 Z28s had the same 5-spd in them so I don't know why they don't have this in their computers.
Anyways, my build sheet says M39 (RPO) and Lordco gave me the options of D8N, D8I, D8G, and D8M. Or is there a better place to buy from?

the transmissions are all the same, but the VSS sensors in the transmissions are not.

the RPO codes lordco asked you to look for are for the speed sensors themselves

there should actually be a D8? code in there, that'll tell you what VSS you need

they are different because they come with a gear that corrects for the various rear end ratios these cars came with

D8G

It was in my RPO list. I had de-coded them all long ago and this one had no notation.

Thanks for the help!
