whats the best way to trigger it,

I'm thinking a shifter knob button might be better than a throttle switch, I'm thinking I don't really want to hit it till 3rd gear

or is throttle better so if you lift its off for sure, and just hold off on wide open in 1st and maybe 2nd

the throttle switch can be used as a saftey procaution. If you hit your nitrous button on your shifter, it will then activate the nitrous only when (usually a microswitch) is also activated at your throttle linkage, meaning your throttle is 100% open, or so you should have it mounted.

exactly.

the microswitch acts as a saftey measure to ensure your (hopefully if installed right) close to full throttle.

I've never installed it, but basically two switches need to be activated at once (probably a third on off switch as well on ur dash?)

I wanted an engine with drivabilty, decent fuel millage and good bottom end power, and some top aend power now and then when I wanted it,

so I either need to go LS, which I still plan to do 1 day, but a 350 TPI on the bottle will get the job done for now,

I got tired of the car sitting, just wanted to drive it, was even close to putting a 305 in
