I had a thought the other day; this is uncommon. It hurt mildly, and I shoved it to the back of my mind where it has been nagging me for a while.
However, I now must bring it up as I am very curious. My thought was as follows:
I was thinking about upgrading my car to something much more powerful. I want to do this on a budget however, so I hope to spend less than about 4 grand if possible. Here is my spec sheet, please tell me if I'm forgetting something or if you have any comments/mockeries/insults.
Incidentally, my car is the base v6/5speed with non-posi.
-get a 305, computer, harness, etc
-get WC 5speed kit (T-rex kit?)
-Get rear axle from TA, posi, disc, the usual
-Cut springs 2 in or so, new shocks, thicker sway bars
-Get a nitrous kit. (I don't know what a stock 305 can handle; but I'll bet the tranny would be the first to go. Does anyone know how much extra power a 305 can handle when still stock? If I have to rebuild the motor to do this I might as well.)
-Rip the old GM fuel pump out of tank, replace with inline pump. (My in-tank one is possessed, it turns on and off randomly while in my driveway, it's scary.)
-I want to do a linelock for the front brakes. Easy enough right?
I think that's about it, like I said, tell me if I'm forgetting anything. Or if you want to laugh at me and my foolish dreams of a v8. ;D
