View Full Version : Heater core housing removal?

My dad and I have been taking apart the dash of my 88 Camaro to get to the end of this cord thing that connects to the back of the heater/AC switches. So we finally found where it goes but can't get to the end of it because it is on the back of the heater core housing thing and we aren't sure how to take it off. I was wondering if anyone knows how or any suggestions.

Here are a couple pictures of what I need out:

It's that whole black housing in the second picture that I need to come out.

look under your hood

We have a bit but we didn't want to start pulling it apart under the hood without really knowing how it comes out.

you need to remove the fan box under the hood. If the car has A/C then its not the best time.

No a/c is easy
