I drove over to the Boundary Bay Airport to catch some of the action at the KUMHO Super Challenge this weekend. There were some nice cars and impressive driving.

why so you can see our slow ass times,
not to sound like a ricer excuse but most of us have real shitty gears, 3.08 or 2.73's :'(,

because our cars are not light, have big turning radiuses and are not meant for slow speed cornering. big power + rwd = not good for givin her form 30kph and lower, which happen to be all those turns :P take it to an actual circut and say bye bye to rice ;D plus mines in drag mode right now, but theres a couple of quick corner carvers on here, re-entry racer will take your challange, hes got a nice cornering f body ;D

not too many, cuz this is a car specific site. dont get me wrong its not so much the actual import car i dont like, well some of them, but its the drivetrain mostly for me. motors, trannies and well fwd trannies(rare rwd wimpy diffs) lol ;D put a nice v8 rwd in a supra then id take that. they got that stuff now in the gt500 japan racing now, they finally realised n/a v8 owns boosted 4cyl, TRD racing is cleaning all the track records and winning all the time now. its based of the tundra v8. i was watching on speed channel a while back, the tech guy was talking about how v8 owns and the response and torque along with hp is unmatched.
that made me happy coming from an asian tech dude, especially when they used to be 4cyl turbo, finally the land of the rising sun is realising why v8 is the greatest motor ever built and designed :D 8) now just imagine if it was boosted? there is never a replacement for displacement or 8 cyl ;D

Yeah it does real well in the GT500 with the N/A V8 because with that type of racing a wide powerband, quick throttle response and smooth power delivery is important. Its a pretty cool series :)

the grand national, while one of my favorite cars, is still no match stock for a ls1 camaro. However the GN has a great engine, very solidly built. Slap on a larger turbo/throttle body and intake and go nuts 8)

Navaro has a grand national that Carmen bought for him, saw it on Funk Flex show

A GNX is a 12 second car stock, it'll take an ls1
Mr. TroPiCal

No it's not. Mid 13's, around 13.4.

A GNX has well over 300hp and has fiberglass front fenders, hood and trunk, I'm talking GNX, not the 240hp GN
Mr. TroPiCal
06-19-2004, 10:44 PM
Well, im no GNX expert, but this is what several sites on the net say:
GNX: 3.8L V6 Turbo 276 bhp @ 4400 rpm, 360 ft-lb @ 3000 rpm.
Performance: Grand National: 1/4 mile in 14.23 seconds @ 98 mph. GNX: 0-60 in 5.5 seconds, 1/4 mile in 13.43 seconds @ 103 mph.

Well, like i said, im no gnx expert but that seems to be pretty accurate according to what different sites are saying. Still impressive for a v6.
GNX's are sweet...but i'd take an LT1 or LS1 over one anyday
as for the ricer link...im sure those cars are fast...but is it really neccassary to ugmofy the cars with all those decals? =/

any of those sites you were on talk aout the very rare red GNX,
I want one of those
lmao at whoever said they would take a lt1-ls1 over a GNX. Thats like a ricer saying he'd prefer a civic over a skyline GT-R

i dont see the comparison.....Ls1 is faster and id consider both the lt1 and ls1 a lot nicer looking. GNX is just some old skool 80s boat that happens to be fast.

hmm, maybe because its worth about 3-4 lt1 camaros, and runs around the same down the track.

well ya, ok, if your gonna get one for free and sell it, but i wouldnt buy a GNX over a 4th gen
and that is why CHOICE and PREFERENCE is good

I'm thinking he doesnt understand the rarety and speed of the gnx in comparison with a regular GN
