Dont expect Penney Autobody to be cheap, but damn they are worth it. I got quoted 4-5 grand including bodywork.

thats a lot cheaper than $16,000 i was just quoted by some rip off artists! hahah just ridiculous.
My car wont take more than $3500 -$4000 to repaint im confident of that. Now i just need to find the right one!

$16k for body and paint is very reasonable if it's a good job. Materials alone that go into a good paint job are $5k plus. One of my friend's car has nearly $20k in materials in his paint.

20K wow. I believe you but i always assumed it was the labour that made the work so expensive.
I know a guy who paid 13k to have his hotrod painted and i couldnt see one flaw in it, HOK candy brandy wine with a gold base.
It was an all steel car nicest paint ive ever seen. I honestly cant understand where all those extra costs would come from unless its some huge tank that had every nut and bolt polished and not one mm of filler all mallets and tin work.

I would be curious to see a materials list and a price breakdown
