best synthetic oil for ls1

hey guys any suggestions on 5w30 synthetic oil for my 2002 ws6? ive been using castrol syntec and wonder if its worth the extra $$$ to go with royal purple or ams oil.

My 5.3 LS motor has over 560000km now. Ran Mobil1 Syn since brand new. It has had the odd dose of Amsoil once in a while.
