no its limited slip
GM never made posi rear ends as far as I know for 3rd gens
they were all limited slip... its posi, but if u dont repack the clutches overly tight, u will most likely loose the other tire spin when try to turn right and fishtail

ill keep that diff in mind, im gunna pull mine apart and have a look, i had the cap off bout a month ago and found no metal filings, and the ring and pinion looked to be in good shape, im gunna check the backlash as soon as i get my hands on a magnetic based dial indicator, if i can rebuild at a decent price i will as it is a 3:42-1 limited slip and those gears work great with my engine combo.

D'oh! That's a pretty good deal! What else would I need to convert from drums to discs? Is there a tech article that you know of?

Ive got anotherone if you are still interested... You need ebrake cables, proportioning valve, might as well do the master cylinder and just get it as a kit.. other than that I think thats it.. I may be wrong.

Unfortunately, I don't have the money right now: in a month, I will definitely be interested. But I'm gonna guess that it will be gone by then :) Thanks for the info, I'll look into some kits.
