well it took about a day's work.. but i got it done. the entire floor of the car has been padded with reflectix.
I kind of went out to home depot and checked what kind of insulation i could find, and reflectix is what i came up with, along with some 3m spray adhesive. Turns out that some people on TGO have done this already with the exact same stuff... which is good cuz they are happy with their results.
the carpet is in and half-settled now. looks so much cooler than the gray (or for those of you who saw it at the meet - better than no carpet at all).
Should be nice and quiet once it's all done.. still have to do up the sides, pillars, roof, and doors.... but that should only take an hour or two.

now i just need to find a damn dash ::)

laf. road noise is damn dispicable in my car.. it just is.
so i wanted to quiet that down.
also, it'll help the whole sound-system thing.
Don't get me wrong.. i'm no car audio freak, i just would rather not have to talk over 2 things at once.
as for weight.. i'm not too worried.. I'll gain a few pounds in the interest of peace and quiet, plus she ain't exactly a drag car... engine mods : headers. (not done by me).
thats it. :p
so ya. i'm happy with it. and it'll all be done soon yay.

the project hit a hard pause over the xmas season... workin in retail during the last 2 weeks of dec is bunk. made for a good paycheque, but damn.. dont wanna do that again.
as for the car's current state... i got the new carpet all the way in, redid all the panels in black (krylon fusion) and black carpet (used sub box carpet & 3m adhesive), and got all of the reflectix down (other than the roof and doors). the panels look damn good, turned out just how i wanted.
i'm just waiting on that new dash and then i'll pile it all back together. mike's gettin it for me, but i'm not in a big rush. i still have a few things to buy.. door panels (and switches), dash pad, etc etc.
i'll make a new post when i do more work. im gonna have lots to show off.. new interior, new momo wheel, new suspension stuff... i love this shit :)
