View Full Version : Hopped It!...And Broke 'Em Again!

Yep...thats right...
for the first time ever...
Got the front end airborn! 3" of hop...all it took was 230PSI ;D
....
Then snapped my ball jointz :D

When i put my air bagz in the car, my origional ball joints lasted a year before i snapped them. Put in lifetime warranty TRWs. All it took this time was a front end hop of 3"s...then SNAP ;D

Also, blew two 500PSI air brake lines right out of their compression fittings, blew out the innerds of an italian made check valve, fryed my compressor and split two fittings in half...but hey...I HOPPED IT! ;D

Only took me and a bud less than an hour to put in the two new ball joints ones. Damn...im good :)

plus you gotta remeber...my front struts are gutted, all they are is empty cylinders.

might i add... im livin on the edge...my air tank is rated to 150PSI before the welds blow out.
At 230PSI... the welds on the air tank sound like this 'ting ting ting ting ting ting' ;D

Pressure in the vlave when opened is so high, complete closure cannot happen, thus lots of air is released!

for some reason stuff like that just doesn't impress me. I guess each to their own though.

Why would you hop your car with airbags. I can understand bagging the car to get the height adjustablity that you want but if you want to hop the thing why not hyrdros. Correct me if im wrong but bags werent ment to be used to hop, your just gunna end up fucking your system up.
Personally i think hydros are gay but i nice bag setup is cool.
