i put sportlines in awhile back
had my car on the pit at work today
and noticed its riding on the stops

there is only like a 1/2 inch gap at the most when its not moving

is there anybody out there that sells shorter bump stops for 3rd gens?

you could get poly, from the usualls don't know if it's taller or shorter, but you can shave them and they will still last longer then the rubber.

also if your sitting that close maybe check your shocks out, are they still up to par or are they bagged.?

shocks are good
sportlines are a 1.75"-2" drop my car came down 2" in the front
which is actually a fare bit,

i'm gonna cut my rubber 1's see if that does anything

My bro had that problem untill he changed from his brand new monroes to tokico hp's not the coil over hps's. then it was good stiffer shock. I would bet on that. But what do i know it fixed his. :)

even with new shocks i don't think it would help
shocks only control bound and rebound, not ride height
i only had 1/2" clearance i don't care how strong your shocks are still gonna hit the stops in a bump

either way a cut the stops down and it really smoothed out the ride, its still rough though

"My bro had that problem untill he changed from his brand new monroes to tokico hp's not the coil over hps's."

this fixed you're brothers car because the Monroe's compressed hieght is too tall for lowered cars, resulting in the rear of the car bottoming out the shock long before the car bottoms out on the bumpstops. The result (as I discovered this weekend thanks to Granville street's construction) is that the shocks blow the upper rear shock mounts to shit, leaving you with two nice 2 inch holes where you're shocks are supposed to bolt to. Tokicos have a shorter hieght, so when he swapped over to them he stopped bottoming out the shocks, hereby giving him effectively more suspension travel. I wouldn't recommend cutting the stops until you check your rear shocks compressed height.
