For Christmas, I'm planning on "coming into" a new posi rear that has discs. I've heard a couple of different opinions on this. One side says that I'll need a new proportioning valve, etc. in order for the discs to operate. The other says that the brake lines shouldn't even need to be modified. Not having a rear disc system at my disposal to analyze and figure this out for myself, I'm wondering if anyone would be able to share some first hand, or even good second, third, or fourth hand experience with me!

With the 89 up PBR calipers on the rear discs, they used the 84-88 disc/drum proportioning valve.

as I read the 1LE's (not confirmed but almost positive) used the same prop valve and master as the disc drum setups.

1LE = ~12" front/rear discs

All the 89-up 4 wheel disc cars use the 84-88 disc/drum valve from what I have seen....

Thanks very much folks!

Drakar: I'm sure that it would be better to change it, but I'm running on such a tight budget right now that I'm afraid she's going to have to be a direct bolt-in.

Of course, that depends on what new proportioning valves cost... I'm guessing over $100? (I'm broke. I could afford it, but then I'd have to go without food or school. Probably food. ;) )
