a) he claims 360hp, 260+150=410.
b) look at the mileage!
c) that car is mint. Some people like these cars alot. I personally would never pay that much for one, but the car's worth exactly what someone pays for it. Either the guy really believes in the market :-* or maybe it's a fishing trip? His reserve could be like 10k, in which case with the exchange at ~1.23, it wouldn't be a bad deal for an enthusiast/collector.

Maybe either Mike (iroc22 or irocnparts) could shed some light on this car's value?

we got a 88 IROC Z in our garage, my dad bought it brand new, custom ordered it. still got the origional white grease on the gas door hinge and hood hinge lol absolutely mint, still smells like a new car inside. 21,000kms only. 4k of that was taking it to seattle to whatch the northwest nationals over the years. the thing has seen rain like 5 times in its life. blows the doors off of that guys turd. dunno what its worth but id say about 16-18k CDN anyday 8)

haha oops ya so my math sucks today :) really what was the Horsepower rating on those? Sorry I still think that price is rediculous and no one will pay it.

"His reserve could be like 10k, in which case with the exchange at ~1.23, it wouldn't be a bad deal for an enthusiast/collector."

It says in his add he has it for sale locally for 16,900 so I doubt his reserve is only 10K.

Ya prolly true, but you never know, I bought a bike off ebay for my buddy, he said it was listed locally for $13,500, buy-it-now was 12,800, and we ended up paying a little over 8k.
It's also possible, but not likely that he's hoping that by putting a ridiculous price there (which I agree 17k is ridiculous) he can drive up the bidding. People play weird games, I'll be interested to see what the bidding goes to.
Also I think the stock hp was like 245 or something like that, still the numbers he gives are ludicrous all around.

$17000. What is too much? Where do you find an IROC that drives like new with low k and no decs??
Very hard to find. I found one in the buy and sell in late Sept/04. Blue 1990 5.7L 23,435km 1 owner. She wanted $15500. 2 weeks later I paid her $14000. Beleive me I'd rather pay 6-7Gs more for a mint car than something that doesn't even come close. I found a car that drives and looks like it rolled off the dealer floor...as close as I think i'll find for a 15 year old car.

that was 14,000 Canadian, which at the time yo bought it was probably only 9K USD, which I think is a fair price and not too much. This is 17K usd which is over 20K canadian! big difference between 9,000 and 17,000.

You have a nice car though! I would be proud too, even though I am not a fan of the 3rd gens I can appreciate a good car.

I would pay waht you paid for th 90 no problem, bigger rear disc, SD 245hp stock.

The guy on ebay only worth the mileage, cause the rear discs suck and 360 horsepower from headers and a K&N, I guess my LT1 with heads and K&N is 400hp plus.

Still a mint car, just not worth 16US maybe 14 or 15 CAN

There have been several 5000 or less miles on ebay going for $20k+ USD. 36K is a little on the high side for asking $17K. That car should be in the $10-12K region which is on the very high side of a normal thirdgen in the US.

It's very hard to judge a car via the internet without seeing it in person....

Hey, My car has original tires too. Surprisingly, the fronts are worn more than the rear. Front 25% Rear 50% 25000km.
The rubber is 15yrs old now. Are they safe of should I put new tires on the front anyway. Kind of like the fact it had original rubber but....
Suggestions on best tire to replace them with, Not going to worry about going cheap.
