Well if it's an automatic then it's not from a second gen , if it's a manual maybe it's a Munci ? ???

its probably not a munci, should be saginaw, it'l be stamped on the tail shaft of the tranny on the drivers side right beside the spedo cable

when i had my 82 i found out a really good way to determine which 4 spd i had, throw the car in reverse, then dump the clutch... if within the first couple of second you end up with 30-40 pieces of cast iron and gears on the ground under your car its a saginaw, if it'll hold up its a munci... mine was a saginaw :-\

It may also be a Borg Warner T10 or a Super T10
