Who would race if the CPSA and mission raceway made a heads up 28/10.5 Tire class. This would give us guys at the bottom of the food chain a class to go heads up in. Currently there is no heads up class for slower cars to race in, even if guys weren’t competive they would still get a shit load of runs every weekend on a well prepped track and beat the mayham of Friday nights. I think that beyond keeping this class competive giving guys a place to race and tune there cars heads up will yield big turn outs, just as friday nights do.

The rules would be pretty simple:

-Max tire size is 28/10.5 slick or 28/12.50 DOT tires.
-No 4 link or ladder bar cars
-Single power adder only
-Small block NA cars must be 2700lbs
- Small block nitrous cars must be 2900lbs
- Small block supercharer cars must be 3000
- Small block Turbo cars must be 3100
- Cars over 427 CI must be 3300lbs (no power adders allowed)
-No more than 50% of a cars weight can be on the rear tires

Other than that have it fairly open and see how many people would come out and race. I think that the fastest cars would probably be in the mid - high 9’s. BUt anyone low 10's and faster would be competive. The tire is the true equalizer in this class. I think if this class was made it would be the most popular class in the CPSA within 1 year.

All coments and opinions are welcome.

i agree, id fart around with it if the rules were designed fair and it had a decent payout. not in money really but in giving everyone a decent chance and not being in last place or the botom of the barrel if your not 9 sec.

count me in to try if it happens 8)
