Ok with a new LT1 in I figure the stock LG4 exhaust will most likely need to get heaved over the nearest fence :D

Thoughs on this exhaust setup.

LT1 Manifold (worked alittle for fun, also not enough money for headers, plus I haven't decided long or short yet :)
Custom made 2 1/2" Ypipe into a 3" collector
3" hiflo Cat
3" catback using Dynomax Ultraflo 3" in/Dual3"out crossflo muffler.

I figure that setup should be good (besides the manifolds) up to 350ish HP

BUT .... If someone can find me the Borla in the pic below for less then 800 I would pick that up in an instant.

Oh ya and opinions would be good to, just no dual's not heading that route just yet.

The Dynomax ultra flo flow's great; good enough that Dynomax bothers to publish the numbers.

If you're spending money on the custom Y pipe and collector, I would get some used short tube headers. It's just my opinion though.

MY old stock stuff Is a burnt out cat, and I was gonna sell my muffler to my brother as his cutlass needs a new one, and my mine is a 2.5" dynomax ultra flo cross flow, same as what I want just a 1/2" too small

Well for headers if anyone knows someone getting ride of a set of hooker 2055 or 2460's ill take a look at those

theres ablsotlutley no way your gonna get 350ish hp with just exhaust, especially with manifolds, with full exhaust and headers youll be lucky to hit 280rwhp.

i hope so ;D

the 3 inch cat back wont pose a much of a restiction, should be good to just over 400 rwhp.

I was thinking about these. I heard a simular setup on a supercharged 305. Sounded sweet.

Correct,

My end goal for now is 350 ish, I know full well exhaust is only a first step, I have plans for the LT4 hot kit (heads intake, headers cam so on) when I have more cash, right now I am looking for the foundation, so a good free flowing exhaust is the first step.

Also the link to that exhaust is very similar to Willies on TGO and Deadbirds setup. both duals with chamber mufflers.

Looks like the 68-72 Nova and 68-69 Camaro exhaust. I've heard it on those cars and it sounds real good.

if you want about 350 rwhp, then the lt4 top end wont be needed. the hot cam alone on stock lt1 heads will get you to 330-340 rwhp with good headers. spend your money on porting the stock lt1 heads and youll end up with about 370-380rwhp.
