i want to put a 4.3 to a 2.8 tranny hows that gonna go?

ok, id assume the bellhousing pattern is the same, if its not then all you need is it the tranny will bolt to either

It wont work soory, unless you change the belhousing, 2.8/3.4 same bellhousing, 4.3 sbc bbc same bellhousing. The trans will last somewhat I had a 2.8 trans behind a 305 (with the 8 bellhousing) It is a weaker trans with a smaller input shaft but generally the same trans. Also you will have to run a smaller clutch to be compatable with the splines on the input shaft
