Question About Roller Lifters...

i have an 89' 350 tpi block
85' 305 416 cast heads 58cc 1.84in/1.5ex

I'm using the pushrods and shit from the 305 engine...

I'm assuming that i need roller lifters for the install? What exactly do i need? hydraulic? mechanical?

(i am clueless when it comes to camshafts or lifters :noes: ...all i know is top end installation...could someone explain what roller lifters do, and if i need them?)

where's the best place or best engine to get them off of?

is it a hyd roller cam? flat tappet cam? Lifter depends on cam.

never put roller lifters on a flat tappet cam, and vise versa. the world will end if you do :noes:

ok....i haven't pulled out the cams..but both engines have the hydraulic tappet lifters....

so I assume that i can just put the heads and pushrods from the 305 on my 350...
