these are forged TRW pistons, .30 over, for a 355. part number is L2304F30 for a 5.7" Rod. they feature .100 dome, so with stock 58cc heads your compression will be 11.4:1 with a gasket width of .039. flatlander racing sells them for $339 USD.
they were used for a season of racing and have absolutley no heat marks, and are in excellent shape. they will come with GM "pink" rods, already ballanced and installed. but i assume youll want a scat or eagle h beam. but the pink rods will hold up to 450rwhp.
asking price 200 USD firm.

ya those rods will hold the 450hp but it wont take any revs at all, i speak from experience, keep it 6000 or lower :P

really? these rods came from a motor that went 7k. well to me the rods are useless, there just on there so i thought id throw them in. i dont want to go through the trouble of taking them apart.

they arent pink rods then, cuz i had pink rods and my rods blew out a 7K on the hwy and scatterd all my crap all over the hwy :P

actually the vortec powdered metal roda are 20% stronger then the pink rods. all the pink rod is, is a classic stock chevy rod that has been magnafluxed and stress relieved, not much different. i even had sweet arp's holding it together with the most pimp bearings. when she blew and i gathered all the parts all of the rods that broke still had the cap parts where they bolted together all intact lol i laughed all the bolts were mangled but they all heled together amazing.
i know you trying to sell the pistons, just trying to give the heads up on those rods lol ;D

Theres alot of other factors that could have caused your motor to let go. Its probably not just the fault of the rods.
Ive been on stock gm rods for like three seasons and havent had a problem yet. I rev the thing to like 6500 all the time and you know how fast the car car is.

payams car has those pink rods as well, personally i think the pink rods are stronger then the powdered metal ones. but payams car sees 7k rpm at the track and has had no problems.

well i ran mine to 6500 all the time to for 3 years straight, the factoer was it was up a incline on hwy 1 i had all my gear in the car, me and a passenger, the car was weighing over 4000 lbs uphill and it let go at 7100, it was a top speed thing, not a short time in there, from 6500-7100 it was like there for 15 sec straight. the rods bent plain and simple, then they cracked in half, it was already determined at that

i should have know better, the deciding factor was driver error. Why you would rev the piss outta it like that is beyond me, were not driving imports here.

1. it was the last time she was gonna be out that year, it was on the way home, never to be run with that combo again.
2. i was getting out some rage.
3. i wanted to feel what 140mph felt like
4. i tuned my shift light off cuz it was buggin me, therefore i wasnt 100% paying attention, the last i checked it was at 6700, been there lots lol.
5. the only thing this set me back was a block, no big deal really ;D

there extremly tough pistons and for the price you cant go wrong. these would be perfect for a nitrous motor, so weight wont be too much of a concern anyways.
