with custom spring rates? I wanna fine tune my suspension for road race and I'm trying to think of what rates I'm going with. I'm pretty set on linear and maybe 720lbs front and 140lbs rear. How does that sound? Any suggestions?

140 rear way too low. You will probably need about 175 to 225 rears depending on how you setup your car.
Note that the spring " Load Rate " listed for rear springs in catalogs such as Moog, TRW etc are not the " true " spring rate as you would order from Eibach, Hypercoils, Afco etc. Moog, TRW etc rate springs typically rate rears at around 107lb load rate. Put these springs on a spring checker and the true spring rate is between 175 to 200 lbs...which makes sense since IROC rears are factory rated at 204lbs\in.
I gave up on the MOOG\TRW scenario and recently switched to proper racing springs....Hypercoils. That way, I know that I am getting a quality product, that is rate checked, stamped with the rate and certified as being true before it leaves the factory. No more guess work for me.
One of the big adavntages to switching to a true racing spring, such as Hypercoils, is that they are dirt cheap!!! Used by Nascar, BUsch series, Ascar, ASA, SCCA, Trans-Am...you name it.
Front springs ( 5.5" x 9.5" ) cost me $38.95 US each. Rears are about $48 US each. Course you will need adjustable height collars ....that can get expensive ;).... Let's see...front ride height adjusters cost me .....$39.95 US each ;D . Used Ground Control rear height adjusters.
Be aware that the springs that GC sells ( Suspension specialist's ) are crap. Rates are not true. I got some so called 175 lb\in rears that are softer than my 170's that I had in before. Totally screwed up the balance of my car.

Yeah these are all things to consider and I'm not really a spring expert by any means.
Where do you get Hypercoils out of? where can I find more information about them?
Even though this is a street driven car, the bone jarring ride doesn't bother me one bit and I like it actually.
