I think i may have a problem with my MSD i just want to make sure before i go by a new 6A box.
OK so here's the deal i blew 5 amp fuse for the ignition, replaced it, and now it will not start. The engine cranks and has gas, but no spark. The box is getting power from the ignition (but only 11.5v) and from the battery (but only 11.5), and it is only sending 2~3 volts to the coil. WTF is up should i buy a new box and see what happens? Or is there another fuseable link/inline fuse i should be looking for?????
On another note i just bought a sawzall and the camaro is getting nervous...

look for cracked or corroded wire that could be grounding out

I did not cross any wires, in fact, i havent touched the electrical system on this car at all. I drove the car to work, and when tried to start it when my shift was over, it wouldnt fire. I put another one in and tried to start it and it still wont fire.

well whatever caused the fuse to blow maybe blew that one too, if not, and all the wires are hooked up properly, the bax can be damaged possibly

this may sound stupid but did you ever check the fuse inside the MSD box?* That little black cricle on the side of the box is a fuse.* Most people dont even know its there until they buy a new one.* ::)
... and yes, I do realize how old this post is. Just thought I'd throw in my 2 cents.
