fuel pump problem

last week my car broke down on me and i checked to see but the fuel pump does not seem to be clicking in when i turn the ignition.
the guy who i bought it off sed he had some problems with the fuel pump and so he changed it. its run fine for me for a long time but now its playing up again.
could it possibly be a faulty fuel pump/bad connection or problem with the wiring? wot do u guys suggest?

i hope its not the fuel pump because it seems like a lotta work to change it. My exhaust is welded in so i'd prolly have to cut that out and then get it rewelded afterwards.

Any suggestions for what i could do to figure out the problem?

have someone turn the key and listen to the relay to hear if it clicks over, if it does you know power is going, then check with a volt meter to see if there is power, and that the ground is good. if all that is good, then ya buy a good pump. oh and good insurance is dont run your tank past half

Fuel pump means you get to drop the tank. And hope your exhaust isn't in the way.

don't buy a cheap fuel pump, it ended up costing me $400 to fix my truck at GM.

i had way too much time to do mine, so it wasn't hard at all..... pretty much had my car down to a shell with wiring harness at one point :D
