remove motor install tpi :D

if your gonna do that just go LT1 or LS1 ... or alteast not the LTR setup of TPI :)


otherwise, you want to hop up some TBI.

first step remove heads and throw into the ocean, stock TBI heads aren't even good as boat anchors.

second do a similar thing with the cam.

third do it again with the manifold and TBI unit

now replace cam with something nice, same with heads, get a 350 TBI manifold and a 454 TBI unit.

change chip.

add headers.

done you have now wasted money on TBI :noes:

i dont want OBVIOUS gay suggestions like that, just good ideas and cheap ways to make it move better, nothing major causes its a temp motor till a 350 is finished,

TBI is all :gay:

best thing you can do is put go fast parts on it that will work with your 350.

such as headers and good mandrel bent exhaust.

not much else you would want to put on the engine, except maybe some roller rockers that you can transfer.

what induction do you plan for your 350 TBI? TPI? Carb?

3rd gen .org has some good articles on how to modifly ur TBI unit for better air flow, how to make an adjustable fuel press regulator, rebuilding and stacking the injectors higher. i TBI spacer may help as well, hypertech goodies never hurt.

hedders and exhust will make a noticeable difference, if u cna get a 5.0 HO dual snorkel air cleaner thay have been known to help as they work like a ram air.

add aa good qualicty cap and totor, plus good plugs and wires, if ya wana wake up the top end add a MSD ingition box, i run a 6AL and i am very impressed with it

if u plan to go 350 then try to buy things that can be used with ur 350 set up as well
