well i just replaced the original 16 year old shocks and struts on the car and i am starting to think about lowering it.. i dont want to do a eibach kit yet or anything i heard u can go other cheaper ways besides from cutting away i hear u can get lower stiffer coils to drop it abnout an inch? i just put in the manroe sensitrac (sp) in just a daily driver nothign too fancy, what else shoul di do and what are some easy yet safe and wont hurt my ride ways of lowering a bit? thanks
and no i dont think i will get some of u guys to sit on my hood an trunk to lower it :P

suspension techniques are decently priced.... other than that I dont know what to recommend
cutting never works

thanks but what is that?
ive seen where u use clamps and they have left them on there for a good year without any problems dont know what the name is but they clamp the springs or something to lower it?

Chances are you have stock springs which if it is an 88 are now 15 years old, I would recommend getting the moog replacement springs. They are IROC springs which would give up to .5" lowering depending on how much sag you have in your existing springs.
Why not buy Eibach .... price?
There are many other spring choices, but most I people use big names like, Eibach, hotchkis, edelbrock, intrax, B&G, etc.

Just chop them. Its not that bad, just dont go too low. (like i did) I cut ws6 springs and my car drove fine. The only reason i invested in eibachs was my car was too low, plus after the collision between my cross member and manhole cover fucked my exhaust up, i thought is was time to raise it.

I've cut springs works fine(wouldn't recommend), I'd go with eibach if you don't have sub frame connectors, if you go stiff of a spring with a vert the car will take the bumps instead of the spring. I personally want to go down 2 or more inches anyone have pics of slammed irocs
