I heard if you go to 1:6 rocker ratio it will increase your valve lift.Is this true?Is this a straight bolt on? or do you have to change other stuff too.

Yeah it will increase your camshaft lift since the stock ratio is 1.6 It is a straight bolt on, however watch that you get the proper rockers since 88-up use self aligning rocker arms.

Helping out a typo .... 1.5 is stock ratio 8)

it actually helps camshaft duration a wee bit too cuz the valve is opening earlier and closing later from the increased ratio 8)

made quite the difference in my car... worth a coulple of tenths and smoothed out the power increased powerband by a few hundred rpm.

Mines an 87 and it used self aligning.

you may have to change springs - depends which ones you have.

Duration will not be affected

Total lobe duration doesn't change of course, and .050 duration at the lifter, where it's rated doesn't change, but the valve gets to the original .075 lift point (based on 1.5 ratio and .050 lobe lift) a little sooner
