Has anyone done a carb to tpi conversion. If my brothers car fails aircare I'm going to be doing one(if mikes got a tpi motor) Any tips?

Im doing an LT1 conversion which is supposed to be harder but the principle is the same, the hardest part as most people say is the wiring harness, ill have to see if that is true everything else is easy "if" your mechanically inclined or have a deep pocket :D
what year is your brothers car?

My bros car is an 86. Tpi is an option on his car so it should be easy. I'm a first year apprentice mechanic. I don't think it'll be that hard. 2-3 days tops.

best part about doing it in an IROC is all the wiring is plug and play, you dont have to splice anything...

Yup, it will be super easier. Just drop the tpi on and plug in the wiring harness.
Oh, and if your looking for one i have a complete speed density tpi for sale.

I've been in the process of doing the swap for almost a year now (went back to school & funds sre low) It is actually a straight forward swap, my car is an 87 SC that originally had a 2.8. I swapped it out for an LG4 & now the LB9 (got it from Mike). The biggest problem I've run into is VATS. The 87 never had VATS but the ECM is looking for the VATS signal & won't start. Should have a chip burnt shortly

don't need to do it, it passed air care, good ol' methylhydrate and no vaccum advance did the trick
