Alpine all the way. I've ran sony(there shit sucks), I ran a rockford amp once but I blew it pounded while it lasted. I'm impressed with clarion amps good bang for your buck. For subs if I didn't have my Type-R's, It would be JL w-6ae's.

if i was going hardcore id go for Rockford power HX2 12" ive yet to see something in its price range deal out what those subs can, and take what they can, a true SPL sub. i got the alpine ZR subs, they are olderschool alpine but they are retardedly awesome subs, at 400 bucks a pop for svc subs, they are pricey but the balance is amazing, sound quality owns and they can still pound SPL if need be. over 3years running of total abuse they are still tickin, and im still very pleased with them over comparing to whats out there still :)

power hX2s have no SQ to them at all...they're decent SPL subs but there are a lot better if you're willing to buy online. If you're serious about a stereo and cant buy online you're kinda screwed cause the stores here in BC dont have too much selection

ya i said power HX2 dont have much SQ, but the stores i go to have all that is needed, i shop at Audio Video Unlimited, they can get any rockford or alpine piece i need, and theres a place in vancouver called Speaker city, they own too, lots of high end including AVi you dont need anything else when you get them, best component speakers made for under $1500.00 around 8)

that is shopping smart lol other ones that compete with them are in the 2500.00 range, its retarded how good these things are, since they are made here and speaker city is one of the few dealers around, they are alot cheaper here :-X

well to me my setup was the best ive heard for highs...ive heard two AVI setups and they sounded decent but not the elite audiophile level. Of course maybe they just werent installed well. If i hear a set and they sound as good as you guys claim, ill buy them that day
